You will need to learn how to use a computer for many purposes,
most of them are simple, like the MLS, and you should begin to learn how to
use Windows, and it is recommended that you think about purchasing your own
computer, either a desktop or a laptop. Presently, a Pentium 4 2.8 Gig based computer
is priced for around $600 from most vendors. Feel free to check with the Sales Manager/Broker
or our Computer Tech in regards to what configuration of a computer you would need.
MLS ACCESS & Realtor Association Membership
You must join an Association of your choice
with in 30 days of joining the company. Association membership is required to gain MLS
accessibility. You will be required to join one of the Associations. The office is a
member of the Greater San Francisco Association of Realtors, (PC Access MLS data),
SAMCAR, (R.E. InfoLink MLS data), the Alameda and Contra Costa Counties Association of
Realtors (East Bay MLS data), Solano & Marin Board and the Sacramento Board. The Greater
San Francisco Association of REALTORS membership is recommended for those doing business
primarily in San Francisco and Daly City areas. If your business is further south, primarily
in South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, and South of the Peninsula, you might find that
joining SAMCAR and R.E. InfoLink are better for you. Each Association uses the same Supra
lock box key. To gain access to most properties, you will need to have a lock box key. Agents,
as an MLS requirement, are prohibited to share their lock box key with others; it is best
to plan on having your own lock box key.
You need the services, particularly the lock box key and MLS
access. Our office policy is that all associates join at least one Association
within 30 days of joining the company. To join the Greater San Francisco Association
of Realtors, the cost is approximately $600, and $35 a month user fee. To join
SAMCAR and R.E. InfoLink, it is approximately, $800, and a $55 a month user fee. Please
ask administrative staff for any of these applications.
It is mandatory for each Century 21 Alliance Associate to attend the
Annual Company Retreat. Everyone will benefit from the inspirational & motivational
speakers who are there each year. The fee for this retreat is dependent on the number
of speakers, the number of days and the location.
Daly City Office: Sales meetings & tour are held every Wednesday mornings at 9:30AM.
San Mateo Office: Sales meetings & tour are held every Thursday mornings at 9:30AM.
Foster City Office: Sales meetings & tour are held every Tuesday mornings at 9:30AM.
Our meetings are intended to provide information, insight, and motivation. We expect all sales associates to be in attendance. After our meetings, we tour our new listings.
New agent training is normally scheduled on Mondays beginning at 10AM at the San Mateo Office. From time to time, other meetings are scheduled for both new and experienced agents and announced at sales meetings, as well as by disbursement of memos. For more information, contact the receptionist.
